Brilliant yellow with a deep golden intensity exposing fluid and fine legs. Absolutely stunning and goldenly seductive.... especially when playfully stirred in the glass.
Catch:
The nose gives off wonderfully fresh mineral notes with a great aromatic background. The White Grenache offers a unique elegance and complex character. You will find notes of jammy citrus and exotic fruits, a hint of vanilla, purée of pears, yellow plum and grapefruit. Upon aeration the mineral character persists joined by greater honeyed and floral notes. The wine then gains in power and uncovers a certain purity by exposing hints of brioche, almonds and some slight nuances of licorice.
Taste:
On the palate, the wine has a round and smooth attack underpinned by a fat and fruity substance: Ripe fruit and pear. Then come the fresh aspects of acidity that persist with good length, with notes of toasted vanilla and brioche on the finish. We find the same aromas of jammy fruits, grapefruit and honey as on the nose. There is a very fine balance in this wine. A great mineral character of the Boutenac terroir is unveiled through to the enjoyable and lengthy finish. There are no intrusive notes of barrel ageing, resulting in a wine that is pure, rich and without faults.
